Captain Winston’s Journey
Captain Winston’s discovery of his renowned fish and chips recipe began during one of his sea voyages, when his ship was caught in a violent storm and he was forced to anchor at a remote, uncharted island. While exploring the rugged coastline, Winston stumbled upon a small seaside village where the locals were preparing a simple yet extraordinary meal. Fascinated, Winston spent days learning their techniques—catching the freshest fish, selecting the finest potatoes, and perfecting the art of seasoning with just the right balance of salt and vinegar. After mastering their methods, Winston returned to London with this newfound knowledge, opening the first London Chip Club in 1975. His fish and chips, infused with the secrets of the sea, quickly gained fame, drawing customers from near and far.
Winston’s legacy has lived on through generations in London, with the London Chip Club becoming a beloved staple for locals and visitors alike.
